Mining Engineer – Global Bulk Sampling
Remote
The Mining Engineer will plan, execute, and optimize bulk sampling operations to assess the viability of high-grade vein deposits. This role requires expertise in mining methods, geological principles, and drilling campaigns.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellentproblem-solving skills, fluent in English, and capable of working independentlyin diverse environments. The position is remote, with occasional site visits toprojects in Canada, Australia, Southern Africa, and Latin America.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement bulk sampling programs for high-grade vein deposits
- Lead and manage mining projects from conception to completion
- Provide expert advice on mining methods and life-of-mine planning
- Develop cost models and conduct financial analyses
- Participatein due diligence reviews for project financing
- Collaboratewith various disciplines, including geotechnical, water, tailings, andenvironmental groups
- Overseedrilling operations, ensuring data quality
- Leadthe setup and operation of concentrators for optimal mineral recovery
- Collaboratewith geologists to interpret data and assess deposit characteristics
- Identifyand implement opportunities for operational improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining engineering
- 1-2 years of mine operations experience, such as project management or supervision
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently
- Willingnessto travel internationally and work in remote locations (travel quarterly)
